ABOUT THE SHOW
The Washington Post knows our production of Topdog/Underdog is one of the most highly-anticipated events of the DC theater season, starring "two actresses with deep roots in DC theater who've earned this kind of innovative platform... you have to admire what Jason Loewith, the artistic director of Olney, is putting out there." 2002 Pulitzer winner Topdog/Underdog is a gripping and intimate drama about two African-American brothers - Lincoln and Booth - who, in their struggle to gain a foothold in 21st century America, end up turning on each other as they fight for scraps from the table of joy. For this 15th anniversary production, the playwright has given us permission to cast the show, for the first time, with two actresses.
