As part of our celebration of Avaaz, we’re sponsoring a morning of stories at the Olney Public Library. This is a free family event appropriate for all ages, especially toddlers, preschoolers, and young children. Books to be read are chosen with the help of the Olney librarian and read by a special guest storyteller. Special guest storyteller for this event is Marvel comic artist and author, Arsia Rozegar.

Arsia Rozegar: Born in Tehran, Iran and raised in the Washington DC Metro area, Arsia Rozegar always had a passion for heroes, mythology and creativity. For years, his professional work was seen on comic book pages as a Color Artist for titles such as Marvel's Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk. His most recent effort, however, is as a children's book author on Shahnameh For Kids, an illustrated series based on ancient Persian mythology from Ferdowsi's 10th-century epic poem, The Shahnameh. Shahnameh For Kids brings Iran's rich tales and legends to a brand new audience with colorful children's books that anyone of any background can enjoy and appreciate.
