Story hour just got a lot more glamorous. As part of our celebration of Kinky Boots, we’re sponsoring a morning of songs and stories at the Olney Public Library hosted by the incomparable drag queen D’manda Martini. Participants will be welcomed by Parasol Patrol DMV who create a rainbow walkway to the library entrance, ensuring everyone attending can enter the venue safely and joyfully. This is a free family event, appropriate for all ages, especially toddlers, preschoolers, and young children.

Story Reader: D’manda Martini

D’Manda Martini is a DC area Drag performer, cosplayer, and theater artist. D’Manda is a huge comic fan, especially the X-Men (their affiliated teams) and Wonder Woman. A DC-Area nominated actor & costume designer in community theaters, D'Manda has also performed at fandom conventions including Katsucon, AwesomeCon, and regularly at FarpointCon. D'Manda is a regular story teller with Drag Story Hour in the DC Metro Area, and has also been featured in many media outlets, including the Washington Post, speaking out about the protests she has encountered with DSH.
