Dear Friends,
Olney Theatre Center's ticketing systems have been disabled by the worldwide crash of Microsoft-based applications that you've undoubtedly heard about by now. The good news is that this does not impact our ability to proceed with performances of our hit Beautiful: The Carole King Musical.
The challenge is that it may make seating more time-consuming since our scanners will not work, and we can currently only sell tickets to patrons who wish to purchase them at the door. IF YOU HAVE TICKETS TO A PERFORMANCE THIS WEEKEND, PLEASE BRING with you the tickets that were emailed from boxofficesupervisor@olneytheatre.org. If you cannot locate or have not received your tickets, your purchase confirmation email from the same address will be sufficient.
Due to the system outage, we can only sell tickets at the door once we know for certain how many empty seats we have in the house. Fortunately, we will be able to accept credit cards or cash for those general admission seats, which will cost $66 in the orchestra and $38 in the mezzanine.
For the Friday evening performance, there is good availability in the house if you want to come down and see the show, which begins at 7:30 pm.
If the outage continues into Saturday or Sunday, we will follow these same procedures. Availability for the Saturday matinee at 1:30 is very limited, but Saturday night at 7:30 pm. is good.
Once again, your patience and understanding are greatly appreciated as we continue to serve our community during this technology outage.
We will continue to post updates to our website and social media until full service is restored.
If you are trying to buy tickets for a future performance, please check back again soon as the global tech issue has impacted all purchasing options. We are as eager as you are to have it fixed!
