Name and pronouns? Where are you from/currently residing?
Lorenzo Miguel; I go by Zoe. Pronouns: he/him/his I’m from Waldorf, Md currently residing in Olney as a member of National Players.
What drew you to theatre?
Women. Lol but seriously I am just a fool and love acting a fool on stage. Beyond that I always enjoyed telling stories and found a home in the medium of theatre.
What drew you to National Players?
The chance to be able to travel across the States was a big part of that. I also was drawn to the fact that we are bringing a predominantly Black cast (which hasn’t been done in the 72 years that NP have been around) to places that aren’t usually exposed to theatre such as small rural communities and incarcerated folks. The chance to reach out and nurture the youth who may have never seen someone that looks like them perform on stage was also a deciding factor. Not to mention the chance to use all of the skills I learned in college and put them to the test.
What are you most looking forward to on the tour?
Seeing new places, growing as an actor and person, & teaching workshops!
What do you hope to do after the tour?
I hope to continue working as a stage actor in the DMV area as well as branching out into film. Soon after I’ll begin working to get some of my own plays produced.
What’s something you want people to know about you?
That I’m always down to work and love to collaborate with all types of artists!
