As part of our celebration of Fela!, we’re sponsoring a morning of stories at the Olney Public Library hosted by Femi Fakinlede. This is a free family event appropriate for all ages, especially toddlers, preschoolers, and young children. Books to be read are chosen with the help of the Olney librarian.
Story Reader: Femi Fakinlede
Dear parents, my name is Femi also known as "Femi the Storyteller '' on the podcast platforms Spotify and Anchor. I reside in Bowie, MD with my wife and 2 sons. I am very passionate about expanding a child's imagination and knowledge and have used storytelling to accomplish this goal. I am an active member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity where on a yearly basis I participate in their "Assault on Illiteracy Program" (AOIP) called Season's Readings. A couple of fun facts about me are that I played an extra in the movie Black Spring Break and my full name Olufemi means God loves me in the Yoruba language of Nigeria, West Africa.
