Nathaniel Mitchell (Swing) is elated to be a swing in his first ever professional musical, Senior Class!! Melvin Tunstall III (Book, Melodies, Lyrics) is an Off-Broadway Alliance Award-winning playwright for penning the book to Polkadots, the Cool Kids Musical. The show has been seen worldwide and just celebrated its tenth anniversary with a special puppetry edition. His latest TYA piece with Greg Borowsky, Stuntboy in the Meantime, will set off on a national tour in the fall 2025!  Melvin began his writing career while still a student at Cincinnati Conservatory of Music as a founding member of the AMP Theater Company. A proud participant in the Yale Institute for Musical Theatre, Melvin is also an accomplished performer, appearing in the Original Broadway cast of Beautiful: the Carole King Musical, the original Off-Broadway cast of The Big Gay Jamboree and the Original Toronto Company of the smash Rock of Ages. Greg Dean Borowsky (Composer) Grammy-nominated songwriter and music producer from South Africa, signed to Sony Music Publishing. Greg’s album (The Greg Dean Project) reached #1 on the U.K. Soul Chart and spent 6 weeks on the Billboard R&B Charts. Greg was commissioned by the South African government to produce and co-write the country’s official “20 Years of Freedom” song in 2014. Musical Theatre Credits- London: Mandela - A New Musical (The Young Vic Theatre); Off-Broadway- Polkadots: The Cool Kids Musical  (Atlantic Theatre Company), Winner of the Off-Broadway Alliance Award for Best New Musical. Amy Anders Corcoran (Director) directed OLNEY THEATRE CENTER'S Beautiful last summer. She currently has a brand new adaptation of Disney The Little Mermaid on the Disney Wish, recently directed What The Constitution Means To Me at KC Rep and the world premiere of Christmas In Connecticut for Goodspeed Musicals. She was the associate director of Escape To Margaritaville for Christopher Ashley on Broadway and she directed the national tour. Amy also directed versions of Mr. Ashley's Freaky Friday for the Alley and Cleveland Playhouse. Amy helmed the NYC off-Broadway and London premieres of Unexpected Joy and received the SDC Noël Coward Fellowship for Comedic Direction. Upcoming projects/works in development include: Polly (UK). A proud member of SDC, Amy has worked at Asolo Rep, ACT in San Francisco, The Guthrie, Cal Shakes, many projects for NAMT, and often with Aria Entertainment in London. Amy holds a B.A. in Psychology with Honors from the University of Kansas and an M.F.A. in Directing from Penn State. 

Karla Puno Garcia (Choreographer), an Emmy Award-winning choreographer, was the first woman of color to choreograph the Tony Awards. Her work is seen in the 76th Annual Ceremony in the Opening Number and the Tribute to Joel Grey and John Kander. Credits include co-choreographer for the Atlantic Theatre and Broadway productions of Days Of Wine And Roses and The Connector (MCC). Her work can also be seen on Season 3 of the Starz Network series Power Book III: Raising Kanaan, additional scenes in the Netflix film Tick, Tick ... BOOM!, directed by Lin Manuel Miranda; ENCORES Off-Center production of Gone Missing; RENT at Theatre Aspen, Tick, Tick ... BOOM! in Tokyo Japan; the world premiere of Other World at Delaware Theatre Company; Somewhere at the Geva Theatre; Duncan Sheik and Kyle Jarrow’s Noir at the Alley Theatre, and In The Heights at VA Rep, where she received the Artsie for Best Choreography. Karla began her training in Oxon Hill, MD under Fran Peters. She also performed Traditional Filipino Dancing with the Pilipino American Cultural Arts Society. Her first professional job was Debbie Allen’s Brothers Of The Knight at the Kennedy Center. She received her BFA in Dance and minor in journalism from NYU’s Tisch School, where she worked closely with Kyle Abraham, Bridget Moore, and Dwight Rhoden. She went on to perform in two National Tours, FOX’s So You Think You Can Dance, NBC’s Smash, several films, and four Broadway shows, including Hamilton. Dolores Duran-Cefalu (Music Director) is excited for her first show at OLNEY THEATRE CENTER! As Music Director, Associate MD or keyboardist, she has over 90 productions on the list, including most recently: NATIONAL TOUR Hamilton (And Peggy), Associate Music Director; Rent, It’s Christmas, Carol! (arranger/MD) at Oregon Shakespeare Festival; Stuck Elevator at ACT SF. Some fave shows to play: The Book Of Mormon, Wicked, Motown, Tina the Tina Turner Musical. Other fun stuff: show creation for Six Flags/Cedar Fair (2 Peanuts shows coming up!), Keys on Piper (Pixar’s Oscar short), and playing with all kinds of bands, including Las Chikas (all female salsa band ) in LA. The big hobby: Drawing plants and animals.

Sam Young (Orchestrator) was accepted onto the courses at University of Cambridge, Berklee College of Music, and Royal Academy of Music before eventually accepting a full scholarship to study at the latter. He works extensively in pop and musical theatre, and is thrilled to be reuniting with Greg Borowsky on this project. Colin K. Bills (Lighting Designer) returns to OLNEY THEATRE CENTER, where he has designed numerous productions; his favorites include Beautiful, A.D.16, Beauty & the Beast, Once, The Amateurs, Colossal, Mary Stuart, and Venus. His most recent work in the DMV includes Job at Signature and Bad Books at Round House. He is a Company Member and Board Member at Woolly Mammoth where he has designed over 50 productions. He was a founding member of the devised theater troupe dog & pony dc, serving as director, writer, actor, and designer for a dozen new works including A Killing Game and Beertown. Colin is the recipient of a Princess Grace Award and three Helen Hayes Awards. He has taught design at Howard University and is a graduate of Dartmouth College.

Kendra Rai (Costume Designer) received the Helen Hayes Award for Outstanding Costume Design in 2012 for The Green Bird at Constellation Theatre, in 2015 for The Island of Dr. Moreau at Synetic Theatre, and in 2018 for Or’ at Round House Theatre. In addition, she has been a nominee for the award ten times. Kendra’s work has been seen all over the DMV at Olney Theatre Center, Signature Theatre, Round House Theatre, Adventure Theater MTC, Opera Lafayette, Synetic Theater, Constellation Theatre, Theater J, Imagination Stage, UMD, and Catholic University. She is now so pleased to be back at OLNEY THEATRE CENTER, where some of her last credits include Frozen, Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, Kinky Boots, Cabaret, Hay Fever, Proof, Elf, and King and I.  Kendra is a Princess Grace Honorarium recipient and holds an MFA from Pennsylvania State University. She is currently the Head of Design at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), and has held teaching posts at Howard University, University of Pittsburgh, and Gallaudet University. kendrarai.com

Kevin Lee Alexander (Sound Designer) is excited to join OLNEY THEATRE CENTER on this production of Long Way Down.
