Biography of William Michals
Currently playing Emile de Becque in South Pacific. Most recently created the role of Captain Hook in the acclaimed Leonard Bernstein Centenary production of Bernstein’s Peter Pan, directed by Christopher Alden. Broadway: Emile de Becque in Lincoln Center’s revival of South Pacific; Beauty and the Beast (The Beast, Gaston), Bright Star. Title roles: Man of La Mancha, Sweeney Todd, Most Happy Fella, The Music Man, Phantom. Also: Les Misérables (Javert), Chicago (Billy Flynn), Kiss Me, Kate! (Fred/Petruchio), The Sound of Music (Captain von Trapp), Camelot (Lancelot), The Scarlet Pimpernel (Chauvelin), and the stunning stage production of the Alan Menken & Stephen Schwartz Hunchback of Notre Dame.
